Overview

The foundation year of secondary science. The same seven-unit framework as the elementary years, now at secondary rigour — the scientific method and peer review, the solar system and the expanding universe, atomic structure and the periodic table, cell biology and DNA, biomes and biodiversity, forces and energy, and a survey of the Islamic Golden Age.

Pacing: one lesson per week, 36 weeks. This is the primary science course for the year.
