Character & Ethics: Grade 5 (Rotation B)

You’ll develop the cultural awareness and critical thinking skills you need to analyze and produce a broad range of discourse in a full spectrum of careers — and to make a difference in whatever you do.

Overview

Rotation B of the middle-grades character curriculum. Thirty-five lessons across seven units — one a week over a 36-week year, with the last week free.

The Gr 4–6 band runs on a two-year rotation across three years: Grade 4 → Rotation A, Grade 5 → Rotation B, Grade 6 → Rotation A again. This is the middle year.

Rotation A is in Character & Ethics: Grade 4 & 6 (Rotation A). The two rotations cover the same seven units from different angles — they are not sequential, and neither is a prerequisite for the other. Where Rotation A asks what good character is, Rotation B tends to ask how it is built and what corrodes it.
