Islamic Studies: Grade 6 & Accelerated

You’ll develop the cultural awareness and critical thinking skills you need to analyze and produce a broad range of discourse in a full spectrum of careers — and to make a difference in whatever you do.

Overview

Year 3 and the close of the Grades 4–6 Islamic Studies sequence — the attributes of Allah studied in depth, the Seerah written in the student’s own words, the Sahabiyyat compared and researched, salah from intention to tasleem, the forty hadeeths of Imam Nawawi, and living with the Akhirah in mind.

Also the Accelerated entry course. An older student joining without the Grade 4 and 5 years takes this same set as a standalone year.

31 lessons across eight units. Girls’ fiqh is a separate course — see Girls’ Fiqh: Tahara & Purification.

Seerah source: the Seerah units in this year are drawn from Ar-Raheeq al-Makhtoom (The Sealed Nectar). At this age it is the parent’s source, retold — the student reads it for themselves in Islamic Studies Grade 7.
