Year three of the IS-3 sequence, and the bridge into IS-4. Students trace how a ruling is actually derived step by step, weigh weak and fabricated hadith against practice, and learn to disagree with a scholar’s opinion respectfully — alongside halal earning, identity in the West, and khushoo in the prayer.
Grade 9 covers thirty-four lessons across the eight IS-3 units and two units of its own:
- Bridging Aqeedah — review and extend
- Sources of knowledge
- Seerah — deeper study
- Intro to fiqh reasoning
- Ethics and contemporary life
- Academic skills — reading and writing about deen
- The Last Day — the grave, the Sirat and the Scale
- Salah in depth — fiqh, khushoo and consistency
- Al-Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah — studying the text
- Qasas al-Anbiya — the prophets of the Makkan surahs
Set text: Al-Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah, studied in Unit 9. Grade 7 Unit 1 previews how this treatise approaches Allah’s names and attributes; this is the year the student reads it. Quran Grade 9 cites it the same year.
Each IS-3 year carries its own set text: Grade 7 Ar-Raheeq al-Makhtoom, Grade 8 Kitab at-Tawheed, Grade 9 Al-Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah.
