Students build real technique: line, shape and value, observational drawing, colour mixing and paint handling, and the compass-and-straightedge construction behind Islamic geometric pattern. Units on mixed media and art traditions from across the world widen their range. The course is a three-year rotation, and each year stands on its own. Every year ends with an exhibition of the student’s work.
